Susana Ye is a journalist and who defines herself as “alicanchina” (i.e. from Alicante and China). She has written in different media about the experience of identity building among young descendants of Chinese migrants in Spain. In 2016 she directed the documentary “Chiñoles y bananas”, which explores the experience of the young Spanish descendants of Chinese migrants who have grown up in Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid.
